The Syracuse Orange survived a hard-fighting Monmouth Hawks team and came away with a 78-73 win in front of their home crowd. Trailing 76-73 in the final seconds. The Hawks had a chance to tie, but Jason Rivera-Torres' 3-pointer missed the mark, and Donnie Freeman added 2 foul shots to pad the score. Freeman led the Orange in scoring with 18 points and rebounding with 7, while adding a block and a steal for Adrian Autry's club. Nate Kingz added 15 points on 6-12 shooting, including 3-7 from three-point range Naithan George Chipped in 12 points, and JJ Starling scored 11 points in the win.
