Syracuse football coach Scott Shafer says his Orange will keep 'sacred' American flag in safe keeping | syracuse.com

"That flag has Afghan dust in it. They lost guys fighting under it. We're going to keep it in a place of honor. We're going to find a safe place for it. Syracuse football question: Should SU play FCS opponents? (plus Villanova, jersey predictions) | syracuse.com

"As long as Syracuse can schedule an FCS team each season, it should. For a program that will likely be on or around the bowl bubble for the foreseeable future, an almost-guaranteed win is crucial for reaching the postseason (and in turn padding the ACC's shared bowl revenue)."
