Syracuse 2nd in AP, T-2nd in Coaches Poll

The latest college basketball rankings are out, and Syracuse still isn't No. 1. #AddThemToTheList

Now does Syracuse deserve to be No. 1 in the nation? Still no, since Arizona managed to squeak by Michigan on Saturday night, thereby holding onto that distinction. As you may recall from last week, Syracuse is/was second in the AP Poll, but the Orange did pick up six total votes this time around. For some reason, the coaches still need more convincing, though. This week's Coaches Poll has SU tied at second with Ohio State, which is at least an improvement from last week when the Buckeyes were ranked above our beloved Orange.

The AP Voter(s) You Arbitrarily Love This Week: Same as last week, the Roanoke Times' Mark Berman and WDRB-TV (Louisville)'s Rick Bozich, who both handed Syracuse a No. 1 vote. Thanks, guys!

The AP Voter(s) You Arbitrarily Hate This Week: Somehow, not Ron Morris, who moved Syracuse up four spots to No. 5 on his ballot. The Detroit Free-Press's Joe Rexrode (eighth) and Charleston WV Daily Mail's Chuck McGill (seventh) were the only folks to have us lower (higher?) than fifth. Both gentlemen were grouped with Ron as SU's low voters last week as well.

If you're in search of other ACC teams in the rankings, Duke and North Carolina are eighth and 18th, respectively, in the Coaches Poll. In the AP Poll, the Blue Devils were tied for eighth (with Villanova), while the Tar Heels came in at 14th overall. Pitt was 27th in both, and Virginia picked up three votes in the Coaches Poll.

So, do we deserve the top spot, or do the rankings make sense? Considering Ohio State's played no one of any impact, is it right that they're tied with us in one of the polls? Share your thoughts and/or complaints below.
