Ranking the 5 best Tight Ends in the ACC for 2019

Well here we go. It’s time to start ranking the best players in the ACC for the 2019 season. As usual we hope you enjoy the rankings.

1) Brevin Jordan, Miami

Brevin Jordan has future All-American, future NFL pro written all over him. Jordan was a 2nd team All-ACC pick last season as a freshman. He started 11 games in freshman year catching 32 passes for 287 yards. He was ranked as a top 5 TE coming out of High School and he’s lived up to the hype.

2) Dalton Keene, Virginia Tech

Dalton Keene was a honorable mention All-ACC pick last season, and is on several pre-season All-ACC lists this season. Last season he had 28 receptions for 341 yards and 3 TD. The Hokies may have the best pair of TEs in the ACC. James Mitchell is talented sophomore that could have a breakout year. Keene and Mitchell give the Hokies a great 1-2 TE punch.

3) Carl Tucker, North Carolina

Junior TE Carl Tucker showed a lot of potential last season. He had 16 catches for 265 yards and 2 TDS in a solid sophomore season where he started 6 games. ProFootballFocus named Tucker as their top ACC TE last year. 

4) Jack Freudenthal, Wake Forest

Jack Freudenthal is a RS Senior that is coming off a nice 2018 season. He had 15 catch season with 4 TDS and 205 receiving. That’s nearly 14 yards a catch. He’s is ranked in the top 20 of draftable TE’s by DraftScout.com.

5) Tyler Davis, Georgia Tech

A TE from Georgia Tech is on a top 5 position list. The times are changing for sure. Tyler Davis is a quality TE transfer from UCONN. He had 22 catches for for 237 yards and 6 TDs last season. He has nearly 500 career receiving yards.
