The Panthers kept their home win streak over the Orange alive as they defeated 'Cuse, 27-13. In the second half, the Pitt defense picked off two passes and held Syracuse to just three points. Freshman running back Damon Ferguson Jr. ran for 102 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. La'Vell Wright had 14 carries for 81 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Mason Heintschel threw for 123 yards, ran for 41 yards, and had a rushing touchdown. For Syracuse, Ahmad Miller ran for 78 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.
