Game Recap

The Irish got on track and ran all over the place for a win over the Eagles.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish might have finally figured out who they are after their 49-20 win over the Boston College Eagles.

Notre Dame struggled in the first half as they tried a mix of running and passing, with some of their series consisting of 3 pass calls and a punt. It was looking brutal for a minute.

Finally, Notre Dame leaned on Josh Adams enough, and then used Brandon Wimbush’s feet instead of his arm, to just run wild over the Eagle defense. Adams ran the ball 18 times for 229 yards, while Wimbush ran 21 times for 207 yards and 4 touchdowns. The 4 touchdowns is a record for a Notre Dame quarterback.

It was a 14-10 game at the half, but Notre Dame came back out and continued to plug away on the ground and was helped by a couple of turnovers to blow this game out of the water.

Dexter Williams added another 50 yards and 2 touchdowns, and Tony Jones got himself a touchdown as well. The team combined for 51 carries and 515 yards.

WOWZA!

We will have plenty more on One Foot Down on this game, and what all of this means moving forward.
