In Raleigh, the NC State Wolfpack took down the #8 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 48-36. It is NC State's first home upset of a top 10 team since Clemson in 2021. It is Georgia Tech's first loss of the season, and NC State's first win over an FBS school since September 11th. Wolfpack quarterback CJ Bailey got injured near the end of the first half, but he remained in the game, and what a game he had. Bailey completed 24 of 32 passes for 340 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran the ball five times for 34 yards and a touchdown. Freshman running back Duke Scott was called upon to fill in for Hollywood Smothers, and Scott ran the ball 24 times for 196 yards and a touchdown. Georgia Tech quarterback Haynes King was 25-34 for 408 yards and two touchdowns. He ran the ball 20 times for 103 yards and two touchdowns.
