Miami vs Virginia Tech: The Hurricanes snapped a 4-game losing streak with a 38-14 win over Virginia Tech. The Canes got excellent play from both their defense, who forced three turnovers, and their special teams which had the play of the game in the form of Jeff Thomas’ 51-yard punt return for a touchdown. On offense freshman running back Cam’ron Davis had 93 total yards and two touchdowns. The win was quarterback N’Kosi Perry’s first road ACC victory as a starter.
