After making 50.0% of their field goal attempts in the first half, Southern Miss was held to 38.5% shooting in the second half. Malik Reneau scored 21 points to lead the Hurricanes. Tre Donaldson had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Timotej Malovec came off the 'Canes bench and scored 16 points, making four three-pointers. Tylik Weeks and Djahi Binet each scored 12 points to lead Southern Miss.
