After scoring 18 points in Louisville's second Red-White Scrimmage, freshman forward Shaqquan Aaron was a surprise scratch when the Cards took the floor last Saturday in exhibition play against Barry. Now we know why.

During his first radio show of the new season Tuesday night, Rick Pitino revealed that Aaron is dealing with "an eligibility issue," and that he won't play in U of L's exhibition game against Bellarmine on Sunday. Pitino added that the issue has nothing to do with Aaron's time in college, and that he's hoping the situation is resolved before the Cards open the season against Minnesota on Nov. 14.

Aaron, a product of Seattle's Rainier Beach High, was a four-star recruit and the highest-rated player in Pitino's recruiting class of 2014.
