According to Josh Pastner there is a "high probability" that Jose Alvarado will miss the remainder of the season.

If you watched the Duke/Georgia Tech game on Sunday night you know why.  Alvarado went up to contest a Javin DeLaurier layup but fell awkwardly bracing himself with his right arm.  The ESPN camera went to Alvarado who was in distress on the floor and his left forearm looked as if there was a protrusion of a bone.   The play can be seen in the video below.  Although Alvarado's fall isn't seen clearly, its unfortunate that it's shown as the #2 top play in the Duke basketball video.

Alvarado was taken to a hospital for x-rays “to ensure that the elbow is located properly and check for fractures,” according to a statement from the team. Tech has six regular-season games remaining.

Pastner had placed the responsibility on running the team from the point-guard spot on Alvarado from the first game of the season. He has struggled at times with shot selection and against pressure, but he has shown development over the course of the season. He played every minute of the previous four games, including all 45 of Tech’s overtime loss to Boston College.
