Demetris Harris, a 6-foot-3, 285 pound prospect from Jacksonville, Florida, had the Yellow Jackets high on his list for some time now and on Monday, he made it official.

Harris announced his commitment to the Yellow Jackets over social media, saying:

“First off, I would like to thank God for blessing me with this opportunity.  I would also like to thank my parents, coaching staff, teammates, and players for making me the person I am today.  I want to also thank all of the universities that gave me an opportunity to come to their school.  This decision was not easy, but I have decided to commit my education and football career to Georgia Tech!”

Harris selected the Yellow Jackets over Wake Forest and South Florida, the two other programs that were in his Top 3.  He also held over 20 total offers from schools.

Harris is the third offensive lineman to commit to Georgia Tech in 2017 and the Yellow Jackets are now up to eight total commitments for 2017.

Player Breakdown:

Harris certainly gives the Yellow Jackets another solid body on the offensive line but when you watch his highlight film, which is located below, you have to like his mobility and footwork, along with speed for his size on the line.  He moves well on the line and can get down the field well for his size.
