Clemson fans received great news on Wednesday when Blossomgame announced he will be returning for his senior season.
Jaron Blossomgame was one of the top forwards in the ACC last year for Clemson and announced that he would be testing the waters in the NBA Draft.
However, on Wednesday, he announced that he would be returning for his senior season at Clemson and will again be looked upon to carry the torch for the Tigers next season.
“I appreciate everything Coach (Brad) Brownell and staff have done for me throughout this process, and I feel that the best decision for me at this time is to come back for my senior year at Clemson,” Blossomgame said. “We’ve got a strong team coming back, and I’m excited to open a new Littlejohn Coliseum. This was a very difficult decision, but I’m at peace with it.”
As a junior, Blossomgame averaged 18.7 points per game, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.5 assists, while averaging 34 minutes per game (led the team in points, rebounds, and minutes per game last season). He was also named to the All-ACC First Team and was voted the ACC’s Most Improved Player in 2015-2016.
Clemson is coming off a 17-14 overall record last season.
