Clemson a 3-point favorite over Louisville

Understandable.

Louisville is currently a 3-point underdog for Saturday night’s showdown against reigning national champion Clemson. The line opened with the Cards as a 2.5-point dog and has since shifted slightly even more in the direction of the visiting Tigers.

If the spread holds, it will mark the first time Louisville has been an underdog at home since Clemson’s last visit to Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. That game, a Thursday night “Blackout,” was won by the Tigers, 20-17. They had been favored to win by 5.5.

Louisville’s 47-35 win over North Carolina on Saturday broke a five-game streak dating back to last season in which the Cardinals have failed to cover the spread.
