Let's take a look at Boston College football.

Best / Worse Case Record for :

Louisville | Virginia | Miami | Duke | Georgia Tech | Pittsburgh | Florida State | Virginia Tech | NC State | Clemson | Syracuse | North Carolina | Wake Forest

ACC 2021 Football Schedule

Boston College
It’s took just one year for new Jeff Hafley to start raising eyebrows at Boston College. In 2020 BC went 6-5, and never lost back to back games. Recruiting is going well, and this year’s team with looks like on paper it could make real noise in the ACC. There is an optimism surrounding the BC program that hasn’t been there in years, but we’ve seen this before in the ACC. Louisville’s Scott Satterfield made a similar first season splash only to come back to earth in year two. Could that happen to Hafley and BC?

Will Go 10-2 (6-2) if:
This offense reaches it’s potential. This is one of the best starting 11 players on offense in the ACC. The offensive line may be the conference’s best. WR Zay Flowers is All-ACC player, and Phil Jurkovec is is one the better QBs in the ACC. A better running game is needed this year, but if that develops this offense could be great. With Colgate, UMass, Temple, and Missouri, BC could be be 4-0 before going to Clemson. Then after that there’s not a game Boston College can’t win. The defense must improve from 2020, if Boston College is be a 9-10 win team.

Will Go 6-6 (3-5) if:
Boston College can’t manage a dangerous 3 game stretch. Missouri, at Clemson, and NC State will determine if BC is a 6 win team or one that can win 10. Obviously Clemson, is a national title contender, but Missouri and NC State are top 25 caliber teams. The defense was nothing special last year, and the rushing game was non-existent. Both facets of BC’s team has to be better. The offensive line which is considered a strength this year, was also considered a strength last year and didn’t play as well expected. That can’t happen again.
