ACC Morning Linkfest 11/23/2016

Let's take a run at a few quick bullet point thoughts on Tuesday nights action...

• Virginia's defense is fantastic, they completely manhandled a less talented Grambling State team.  I talked UVA in detail on twitter, check out @scacchoops. Bottom line, this UVA team is missing one thing that would keep them from being a championship contender. As they are now, a Sweet 16 apperance would be a good season.
• I like to poke fun at Boston College, but the Eagles got a good win over Towson on Tuesday.  Keep in mind that Towson was up 13 with 14 mins left against Maryland a few days ago.  Regardless, sophomore Jerome Robinson is a really good guard, and there might actually be a glimmer of hope around the program.
• Pitt beat Yale 75-70, that's the same team that UVA beat by 24 just a few days ago.
• Notre Dame got another win, a 70-66 win over Northwestern.  The Irish are destined for another season of knocking off top teams and giving everyone headaches.  Brey's team takes care of the ball and can really shoot it.
• Last night was the first extended time I was able to watch the Heels.  By the way if you see someone today that looks like they didn't get enough sleep in the Triangle area, they're probably a UNC fan.  The Heels have had a number of late starts.  UNC is really good though, like national title good.  This team reminds me of some UNC teams from the late 90's, early 2000's.  Back before early departures became an yearly occurence, UNC teams had a mixture of experience and youth that worked perfectly in the system.  While last year still stings, this team can be special.
• Also on Tuesday, Syracuse blitzed South Carolina State and Georgia Tech handled Sam Houston State
