Game Recap

On a dreary day, Notre Dame still got a comfortable win.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish had an off day, but still managed a big win over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons SCORE. Brian Kelly has talked in the past about how hard it is to win college football games, but this season they have been a bit easier.

Josh Adams went down early with a possible concussion, and sat out the rest of the game after only 22 rushing yards. Brandon Wimbush (110 yards rushing 2 TD) helped spearhead an Irish rushing attack that still gained over 380 yards on the day.

Running the ball wasn't the only thing Brandon Wimbush was up to as he threw for 280 yards and a TD. Chase Claypool was on the other end of 9 of those passes for 180 yards and a touchdown. HUGE day for the #MapleBandit.

Notre Dame set a school record for yards in a game with 720 on the day.

The Irish defense finally gave up a few more rushing touchdowns and over 20 points for the first time all season. Wake gained over 580 yards of offense, but failed to keep up with the Notre Dame scoring machine.

The win puts the Irish at 8-1 and on track for a HUGE game against the Miami-Florida Hurricanes.
