Last Week: 4-3  Overall: 57-18

Miami vs. Virginia Tech

For the second consecutive week, Virginia Tech is playing on Thursday night. They lost at Pitt last Thursday, but this is Thursday night in Blacksburg. There has always been a bit of a mystique with it. Unfortunately, this version of the Hokies has been depleted by injuries, especially at running back and on both lines. I think it makes for a big game from Duke Johnson. Given both of these teams are good against the pass, I wouldn't be surprised if both Michael Brewer and Brad Kaaya turn it over a couple of times. I think Miami's running game gives them the slight edge in this game. Miami 27, Virginia Tech 24

North Carolina vs. Virginia

Like pretty much any game UNC is involved in, there is a high probability of a shootout. We know they can score points, and they can just as easily give them up. Virginia's pass defense is near the bottom of the ACC, so expect Marquise Williams to have a big game through the air. Virginia's running game will be able to get plenty of yards on UNC's lack of defense. This should be a close game, but I think Virginia's defense will be able to make enough stops to win the game. Virginia 31, UNC 27

Boston College vs. Wake Forest

It's "Rivalry" week. There's no love lost there. Ok, maybe not, but it's a fun rivalry nonetheless, especially if you follow some of the BC and Wake bloggers on twitter. All signs point to John Wolford being back starting for Wake this week after leaving last week's game after taking a shot to the head. Believe it or not, Wake has actually had a bit of a running game (by their standards) the last two weeks, rushing for a total of 111 yards. But that's nothing compared to Boston College's rushing attack, which is second in the ACC, averaging 287 yards per game. It'll lead them to another win. Boston College 24, Wake Forest 10

Georgia Tech vs. Pittsburgh

Who likes teams that run the football well? You've come to the right place. Georgia Tech has the best rushing attack in the ACC, while Pitt just has one of the best running backs in the ACC in James Connor, who only needs 41 yards in this game to reach 1000 for the season. He should get it here. Georgia Tech will obviously get their yardage with little problem, but Justin Thomas struggles passing on the road. He completes just 40% on the road, compared to 52% at home. I'm taking Pitt at home because of that. Pitt 30, Georgia Tech 23

Syracuse vs. Clemson

With Syracuse's season starting to spiral out of control, they were able to pick up a much needed win last week against Wake Forest. This week's opponent is a lot tougher. Prime time Saturday night at Clemson is a tough deal, especially for a team like the Orange, who have had trouble getting much offense with Terrel Hunt out. That trend will continue here. Even with Adam Choice out for the season, it won't be a huge blow for the Tigers. They'll get by just fine with him gone. This should be a pretty easy win for the Tigers. Clemson 34, Syracuse 13
