Last week: 4-2  Overall: 51-11

Miami vs. North Carolina

The national spotlight will be on Chapel Hill Thursday night, as a struggling Tar Heel team will take on a top 10 team in Miami. Both teams had an extra week to prepare for this game, so both team will be plenty rested. With UNC 1-4, are they in desperation mode already given how poorly they've played on both sides of the ball? I think they will come out playing well early, but what will be the big difference in this matchup is Duke Johnson going up against the 102nd ranked rush defense. He should have a big day on the ground, and Stephen Morris will be efficient enough through the air, and Miami will get a nice road win. Miami 31, UNC 17

Syracuse vs. Georgia Tech

After starting the season with three straight wins, Georgia Tech has followed that up with a three game losing streak, and has looked pretty bad in the last two games. Syracuse is coming off of a nice road win at NC State to get back to 3-3. Both teams can run the ball well, but I do not trust either team in the passing game. This will be a bit of a sloppy game, but I think the Yellow Jackets rushing attack will be what propels them to the win. Georgia Tech 27, Syracuse 20

Duke vs. Virginia

Don't look now, but Duke is two wins away from being bowl eligible again. And this would be the first time they will have been bowl eligible in consecutive seasons for the first time ever. Meanwhile, Virginia looked better than it has in recent weeks, but still lost at Maryland to drop to 2-4. Duke has won four of the last five meetings between these two. Because Anthony Boone is back, I think the passing game will dink and dunk Virginia to death, and I have little trust in Virginia's offense to put up points consistently . Duke wins on the road. Duke 34, Virginia 24

Maryland vs. Wake Forest

After escaping Virginia last week, Maryland is one win away from bowl eligibility for the first time under Randy Edsall. The defense has been better than expected this year, and having to face an offense that is a little bit challenged will help. Wake had the week off to prepare for this game, but I don't see how they can stop Stefon Diggs. He's going to have a big game receiving, and I wouldn't be surprised if he had multiple touchdowns in this game, which will help Maryland get to bowl eligibility. Maryland 24, Wake Forest 16

Old Dominion vs. Pittsburgh

Who likes passing? If you do, you've come to the right game. You probably have not heard of Taylor Heinicke, but he's Old Dominion's quarterback, and he is very good. He's completed 74.5% of his passes, and has thrown for over 300 yards in five of his six games this season. He can also run a little bit. He's second on the team in rushing, averaging 4.4 yards per carry. Pitt doesn't have the greatest quarterback, but they do have really good receivers who can make big plays. Devin Street and Tyler Boyd are really good, and as long as Tom Savage can get them the ball, they will be fine. As much as I worry about Pitt's offensive line, it won't be an issue this week. Pitt should win handily. Pittsburgh 38, Old Dominion 19

Florida State vs. Clemson

The hype for this game dates back to last season's game. We all pretty much knew then that this game would likely decided the Atlantic division race this year. Both teams are undefeated and ranked in the top five. Both quarterbacks are outstanding. Jameis Winston has exceeded expectations already, and Tajh Boyd has been as good as advertised. Having said that, I worry about Winston in this game some. It's the biggest game of his life and one of the most difficult venues in all of college football. I think he will have some good moments, but I  could see him getting rattled a little bit, and he could throw a pick that will lead to points for Clemson. Expect a shootout, with Clemson winning at home. Clemson 48, Florida State 38
