North Carolina vs. Charlotte: The Tar Heels bounced back from a rough Week 1 to go to Charlotte and pick up their first win of the season, 20-3 over the 49ers. It is Bill Belichick's first win as a college head coach. Once again, UNC got off to a fast start, with Gio Lopez hitting Chris Culliver for a 51-yard touchdown pass on their opening drive. Lopez finished the game 17-25 for 155 yards and a touchdown. He also ran the ball nine times for 44 yards. Culliver had three receptions for 74 yards and a touchdown. The UNC defense held Charlotte to just 271 total yards, with just 21 coming on the ground. Charlotte receiver Javen Nicholas caught 11 passes for 122 yards.
