Week 1 is in the books, and the first real waiver scramble of the 2026 season is here. Using FantasyPros consensus draft rankings for standard scoring as our baseline, we treated roughly the top 150 overall as “rostered” in a typical 10-team league (about 15 roster spots per team). Everyone ranked outside that band—and especially players still sitting past overall pick 170—is fair game on most waiver wires.

Below are the priority adds for Week 2, grounded in Week 1 box-score production and role changes that matter in standard scoring. Check your league before bidding: availability varies, but these names should be unowned in plenty of 10-team formats.
Priority RB: Kaelon Black, San Francisco 49ers
FantasyPros overall rank: ~187 — well outside a 10-team draft.
Black was the clear Week 1 breakout on the ground. He handled 14 carries for 65 yards and added a catch, while Christian McCaffrey was held to 10 rushes (68 yards) plus receiving work in San Francisco’s win. Whether Shanahan is truly managing CMC’s workload or Australia travel/cramps skewed the split, Black announced himself as the 49ers’ No. 2 and one of the most valuable handcuffs in fantasy.
Waiver priority: Highest in most 10-team leagues. CMC owners should treat this as a must-claim; everyone else still wants the handcuff insurance plus short-term flex upside against Miami and Arizona.
Priority WR: Devaughn Vele, New Orleans Saints
FantasyPros overall rank: ~243
Vele finished Week 1 with 7 catches, 69 yards, and a touchdown in New Orleans’ overtime shootout in Detroit. The Saints’ play volume won’t stay that extreme every week, but Vele’s snap share next to Chris Olave—and elevated opportunity while Jordyn Tyson is sidelined—makes him a real standard-league plug-and-play for thin WR rooms.
Waiver priority: Top WR claim. Ideal for managers who drafted light at receiver or lost a Week 1 dud.
Sleeper WR: Caleb Douglas, Miami Dolphins
FantasyPros overall rank: ~235
Douglas led Miami’s pass catchers with 5 receptions for 94 yards. In a reshuffled Dolphins offense, that kind of downfield production is exactly what standard leagues reward. He’s still lightly rostered relative to his Week 1 output and should be available in most 10-team formats.
Waiver priority: Strong secondary WR add behind Vele (and ahead of pure dart throws).
Boom WR: Dontayvion Wicks, Philadelphia Eagles
FantasyPros overall rank: ~170
Wicks only needed two catches to put up 73 yards and a touchdown. The deep-shot profile plays perfectly in standard scoring, and Philadelphia’s upcoming slate has several potential shootouts. He’s on the fringe of late-round drafted players in deeper 10-team leagues—confirm he’s free before burning a high claim.
QB Streamers Outside the Top 150
Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers (rank ~172)
Young went off for 361 passing yards, 3 passing TDs, and a rushing score. Jalen Coker (8-138-2) was the main beneficiary, which is also useful context if you’re hunting WRs. Young’s spike weeks have cooled before, but for 10-team managers needing a bridge QB—or a stash after Sam Darnold/Kyler Murray news—he’s usually still on waivers.
Tyler Shough, New Orleans Saints (rank ~128)
Shough’s 410 yards and 3 TDs on heavy volume will push his roster rate up fast. At ~QB12–13 on the consensus board he may already be owned as a QB2 in some 10-team leagues, but he’s worth confirming. Week 2 at Baltimore is rough; the longer-term appeal is Kellen Moore’s pace and friendlier home matchups after that.
Tight End Stashes
- Michael Mayer, Las Vegas Raiders (rank ~306): Led the Raiders with 6 catches for 32 yards while Brock Bowers recovers. Cap your bid if Bowers has a realistic early return, but streaming TE help is scarce in standard formats.
- Kenyon Sadiq, New York Jets (rank ~203): Quiet receiving line (3-21) but punched in a rushing touchdown—exactly the kind of red-zone TE involvement standard leagues love. Cheap speculative add.
Depth / Handcuff Notes for 10-Team Leagues
- Tyler Allgeier, Arizona Cardinals (rank ~129): 17 carries for 61 yards is standalone volume. Borderline rostered already in competitive leagues; grab if available.
- Emmett Johnson, Kansas City Chiefs: 8 rushes for 24 yards plus 2 catches for 44 yards. Not a sexy Week 1 line, but a useful Kenneth Walker III handcuff if your league still treats Walker’s durability as a weekly concern.
- Jalen Coker, Carolina Panthers (rank ~133): The 8-138-2 explosion will clear waivers in many leagues quickly. If he’s somehow still free, he’s an immediate WR3/FLEX upgrade in standard.
Suggested Claim Order (10-Team Standard)
- Kaelon Black (RB)
- Devaughn Vele (WR)
- Caleb Douglas (WR) or Dontayvion Wicks (WR) — take the one your roster needs more
- Bryce Young (QB) — only if you’re thin at QB
- Michael Mayer or Kenyon Sadiq (TE) — only if TE is a hole
One week does not rebuild a championship roster. Spend aggressively on Black and the clear role-change WRs, then save FAAB/waiver priority for the next injury-driven RB vacancy.
