After defeating Hawai'i in Week 0, the Stanford Cardinal will now play host to the #7 Miami Hurricanes in Week 1 of the 2026 college football season. This will be Miami's first game since playing in the 2025 National Championship game. It will be the Hurricanes first ever trip out to Palo Alto to face Stanford, with the 'Canes 42-7 victory last season being the only previous meeting between the two programs. Quarterback Davis Warren and running back Micah Ford are coming off of career-best performances, with Warren throwing for 310 passing yards and Ford running for three touchdowns in a game. For Miami, Darian Mensah will be making his debut in a Miami Hurricanes uniform. Returning for the Hurricanes are running back Mark Fletcher Jr. and wide receiver Malachi Toney; both were voted as preseason All-ACC players.
