The ACC's three biggest questions of week 7

What are the questions for ACC Football week 7?

Will Syracuse prove they are for real against NC State?

Syracuse has been pointing to the NC State game for weeks. NC State’s Devin Leary is banged up, and Syracuse is one of the ACC’s biggest surprises. Should the Orange win they might get to the fringe of the top 10 which would have been impossible to believe before the season. It’s certainly good for the ACC that a Syracuse NC State matchup is a top 25 one. RB Sean Tucker against that stout NC State defense? This is the shot Syracuse has been waiting for.

How does Florida State respond against Clemson?

MI Sports Betting  has Clemson as one of their top 4 teams with a shot at the national title and a slight favorite in this game. Florida State has moments where they look like a top 20 team, mixed in with moments they look like well – the last few years. They appeared to have NC State beat in the 2nd half before collapsing and then throwing a game-deciding interception on their final possession. I still think Florida State can give Clemson fits in this one. The Tigers just aren’t explosive enough to simply blow decent teams off the field, but they are eyeing an ACC title and the playoffs. This could be much closer than expected.

Will North Carolina take control of the Coastal Division?

North Carolina is a surprising 5-1 and can take control of the Coastal Division this weekend as they travel to Duke. I don’t think anyone would argue that the Heels are not an elite team, but their offense is the most consistent unit in the Coastal Division. The defense isn’t great, but it is better than earlier in the season. Duke is certainly improved, but rising star QB Drake Maye and UNC can take a major step forward in their chase for a division title. If they beat Duke, they could get to 8-1 before a trip to Wake Forest.
