The ACC needs a national voice to promote the conference

There is something very discouraging going on in the national college football media. They blasted the ACC the last few years, because the OOC results were terrible, and they were. There was no defending that.

They said to win games and the respect will come, so teams from the ACC did win notable non-conference games this year. Florida State did beat SEC West-leading LSU. NC State did beat Texas Tech. Pittsburgh did take Tennessee to OT. North Carolina did what Texas A&M couldn’t and that beat App State.

The problem is the anti-ACC narrative is arguably worse than ever because the narrative doesn’t match the on-field results.

Blind Resume – Where should this team be ranked that has wins over #10 on the road, #16, and #23 and a road win against a team that’s beat #18 LSU?

If you said that’s a top 3 team, you’d be right but because it’s Clemson from the ACC as they struggle to stay in the top 5.

Find me any team in the top 6 that doesn’t have struggle wins.

Klatt is a FOX guy and he’s looking out for the Big 10, and he knows he can’t talk the SEC down – or he’ll be dealing with Paul Finebaum and his band of merry SEC media members.

There lies the problem. FOX guys shill the Big 10. CBS spent the end of the Ole Miss LSU trying to talk LSU into the playoff while ignoring the game against Florida State like it didn’t happen. We know about Finebaum, but who does the ACC have nationally?

The fact is they don’t appear to have anyone that covers the ACC that will go toe to toe with other media members to promote the ACC, even when the results provide the opportunity. The ACC needs a mouthpiece. There are plenty of ACC media members that do a fine job covering the conference, but who’s the mouthpiece?

The one media member that does seem to get under the skin of his Big 10 and SEC colleagues is Danny Kannell.

Can we please get Kannell on the ACC Network or ESPN so we can have a different voice out there? Somebody that promotes the ACC on a national level. If not Kannell somebody, anybody that covers the ACC want to promote the conference?
