The #6 Blue Devils had to pull off a comeback and fight off an upset-minded Yellow Jackets team to get an 85-79 victory. Duke has won 19 consecutive home ACC openers. Georgia Tech shot 67.9% in the first half to take a four-point lead into halftime. In the second half, the Blue Devils' defense stepped up and held the Yellow Jackets to 38.5% shooting and forced six turnovers. Duke freshman Cameron Boozer had a double-double with 26 points and 12 rebounds. Isaiah Evans finished the game with 17 points, five rebounds, and three steals. Cayden Boozer, in his first career start, had 13 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals. For Georgia Tech, Kowacie Reeves made five three-pointers and tied a career-high with 23 points.
