The NC State Wolfpack are set to travel up to Charlottesville to take on the Virginia Cavaliers in the 2026 season opener. The two teams are facing off in Week 0 because the game was originally scheduled to be played in Brazil before being relocated back to Scott Stadium. Unlike in 2025, this matchup between the Wolfpack and Cavaliers will be counted as an ACC conference game. Both Virginia Head Coach Tony Elliott and NC State Head Coach spoke about the difficulties of playing in Week 0, especially with so many changes to the rosters.
