The latest former University of Louisville basketball to speak up and outright deny the allegations made by prostitute Katina Powell in her scandalous book is Montrezl Harrell.
Harrell was asked by the Houston Chronicle about the allegations and his potential involvement, and gave a direct response.
"I don't know anything about any of that," Harrell said. "Apparently, my name is in there. I don't have anything to do with that. U of L is doing their job, holding an investigation, looking at it. That's where I'm leaving it. Simple as that."
...
"Somebody told me my name was in there," Harrell said. "It goes without saying, I don't know anything about it. I didn't too much stay at the dorm. I stayed off campus. I had a girlfriend off campus.
"It was pretty shocking that took place, if it did. I'm right there with Coach P, as shocked as he is."
In the book, Harrell is described as one of the recruits/players who engaged in intercourse with one of Powell's "workers." During a solid chunk of his time at U of L, it was well-known that Harrell dated Cardinal volleyball player Randi Ewing, the daughter of NBA Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing.
