In Miami Gardens, the No. 9 Miami Hurricanes bounced back from a loss to Louisville with a 42-7 win over the Cardinal. Stanford went 74 yards and took a 7-0 lead on their first offensive drive. The Miami defense only allowed 70 total yards the remainder of the game, and the Hurricanes scored 35 second-half points. Running back Mark Fletcher had 23 carries for 106 yards and three touchdowns. Wide receiver Malachi Toney had 138 all-purpose yards with two big punt returns. Stanford running back Cole Tabb had 64 yards on 19 carries.
