It’s all happening.

You’ve got five days to plan your outfit.

From U of L:

Always a favorite of the fans and players, the University of Louisville will host a Blackout on Saturday when it welcomes No. 3 Clemson to Papa John's Cardinal Stadium for an 8 p.m. kick on ABC.

Papa John's Cardinal Stadium will be a sea of black Saturday evening as all fans are encouraged to wear black under the lights to support the team, which will don black uniforms.

The history of the Louisville Blackout stretches back to the 2006 season during head coach Bobby Petrino's first term with the Cardinals.

Under Petrino's recommendation in 2006, the fifth-ranked Cardinals wore all black uniforms for the first time in a top-5 contest with third-ranked West Virginia on Nov.2. The Cardinals picked up one of the biggest wins in school history, besting the Mountaineers 44-34 in front of a nationally televised Thursday night audience on ESPN.

The Cardinals held a Blackout for last season's 24-14 win over Duke on Oct. 14.

In advance of the event, Cardinal Fans are encouraged to support their local U of L retailers for Blackout and College GameDay merchandise for the game, which will be televised nationally by ABC.
