Game Recap

Jordan Nwora scored 25 points as Louisville rolled to a 79-51 victory over Georgia Tech that felt well in hand from the 5-minute mark of the first half until the end of the game.

The Cardinals made their first four field goal attempts and took advantage of some sloppy play from the home team to build an early 16-4 advantage. The Yellow Jackets never answered U of L’s initial punch, as the lead ballooned to 38-8 and eventually 43-16 at the break.

The second half was because it had to be.

The win moved Louisville to 6-0 against Georgia Tech since joining the ACC in 2014-15, and was the Cardinals’ ninth straight win over the Yellow Jackets overall. It also makes the Cards 4-1 in conference play, despite the fact that three of those five games have been played away from home.

In addition to Nwora’s strong play, Christen Cunning delivered 11 assists against no turnovers. He also chipped in nine points. Big men Steven Enoch (15) and Malik Williams (13) joined Nwora as double-figure scorers.
