All is lost.

For the first time in the modern era of the rivalry, Kentucky owns a five-game winning streak over Louisville.

The Wildcats scored a whopping 31 second half points to pull out a 38-31 victory over the Cardinals. U of L managed to lose despite outgaining their guests, 403-289.

Everything Louisville had to do in order to lose this game, they did.

The Cardinals lost the turnover battle thanks to two enormous second half fumbles that resulted in 10 Kentucky points.

They allowed Kentucky return man Barion Brown to rumble for a 100-yard kickoff return right when it seemed like a touchdown drive to start the second half had created some separation.

They picked up a handful of critical penalties at inopportune times, while the Wildcats — who entered the game 100th in the country in penalties — were penalized exactly zero times.

The U of L defense also failed to limit explosive plays for a third straight week, allowing Kentucky’s playmakers to get loose in the game’s biggest moments.

All is lost. Nothing is Ok.

I don’t think I can pick Louisville to win this game again until I actually see the Cardinals hoist the Cup with my own eyes.
