College basketball season is right around the corner with Midnight Madness and other events taking place in recent weeks for several programs around the country.  The ACC should be FULL of talent heading into the season but to kick off the year for the ACC Conference, here is our starting five players that we would like to preview that will be RETURNING from this past season and would make one of the best lineups the ACC had to offer.

Joel Berry II (Junior – North Carolina)

Berry really made a significant jump from his freshman season to his sophomore year, as he averaged 12.8 points per game, showed that he can really attack and finish at the rim, was one of the Tar Heels best outside shooters all year long, and really helped control the two guard situation with Marcus Paige last season.  Now, it looks to be his team and Head Coach Roy Williams will look for Berry to take an even bigger step and become the leader for the Tar Heels.

Dwayne Bacon (Sophomore – Florida State)

Bacon was one of the top freshman in the country and he showed why last season as a freshman.  He could have went to the draft but returns back for his sophomore season after averaging 15.8 points per game.  He also averaged 5.8 rebounds per game but would like to see his three-point capability to increase after shooting only 28 percent from the arc.  Expect his number to rise a little but FSU has a lot of talent coming in this year.

Grayson Allen (Junior – Duke)

Allen had one of the best years ever in the ACC last season, as he made the biggest jump ever statistical wise from his freshman season to his sophomore.  After averaging only 4.4 points per game as a freshman, he became the go-to guy for the Blue Devils, averaging 21.6 points this past season.  With the amount of talent the Blue Devils have, numbers could slip a little but Allen will still be one of the leaders for this team.

Jaron Blossomgame (Senior – Clemson)

Had a fantastic year for the Tigers last year, averaging 18.7 points per game and 6.7 rebounds for Clemson, as he helped propel them to a 17-14 overall record.  He could have went to the draft but has decided to return for his last year for the Tigers and will be the go-to guy this year and possibly one of the top players in the conference.

Abdul-Malik Abu (Junior – NC State)

This one may be a surprise to few but we think that Abu could be in for his best season so far, as his talents continue to show.  Last year, he averaged just under 13 points per game and was one of the top rebounders in the conference at 8.8 rebounds per game.  NC State has talent coming in, but Abu needs to take his game to the next level and has the talent to do so.  Would not be surprised if he was close to averaging 15 points per game and 10 rebounds.

Justin Jackson (North Carolina)
London Perrantes (Virginia)
Michael Young (Pittsburgh)
Seth Allen (Virginia Tech)
Zach LeDay (Virginia Tech)
Jamel Artis (Pittsburgh)
Bryant Crawford (Wake Forest)
Tyler Lydon (Syracuse)
Kennedy Meeks (North Carolina)
V.J. Beachem (Notre Dame)
