Thankfully, Jones’ injuries are not life-threatening.
Scary news out of Memphis, where former Louisville guard Chris Jones was shot Tuesday night on a basketball court.
According to East Tennessee State coach Steve Forbes, who coached Jones in junior college at Northwest Florida State, Jones is already out of the hospital after being shot in the leg. One other person was injured in the shooting, which took place in Halle Park, which is actually right next to a police precinct.
Jones averaged 10.2 ppg for Louisville as a junior during the 2013-14 season. He was averaging 13.7 points per game a year later but was dismissed from the team by head coach Rick Pitino in February.
