It was a back-and-forth battle throughout with 7 ties and 14 lead changes, but the Clemson Tigers came away with a 73-68 road win at Pitt. Jestin Porter led the way on offense for the Tigers with 21 points on an extremely efficient 8-12 shooting from the floor, including 3-6 from three-point range. RJ Godfrey and Nick Davidson got the job done in the paint, with both scoring 14 points on 5-7 shooting. Five players scored in double figures for the Panthers with Damarco Minor leading the way with 17 points on 5-10 shooting, including 3-6 from deep as well. Omari Witherspoon added 14 points on 6-10 shooting while Roman Siulepa scored 12 and Barry Dunning Jr. and Cam Corhen each chipping in 10 points in a losing effort.
