The Boston College Eagles won a thriller at home over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, 68-67. BC got last-second heroics in the form of a put-back by Aidan Shaw with less than a second remaining after Wake's Juke Harris gave the Demon Deacons a 1-point lead on back-to-back 3-pointers in the final minute. The Eagles opened the 2nd half with a 23-5 run, mostly fueled by Fred Payne, who had a huge game, finishing with 23 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals. Harris was a one-man wrecking crew, scoring the first 8 points of the game for the Demon Deacons and 19 of his 38 points in the first half before catching fire again late as the Deacs battled back.
