The Virginia Tech Hokies got a big road win as they beat the Syracuse Orange at the JMA Wireless Dome, 76-74. Ben Hammond led the way for the Hokies, scoring 24 points on 5-10 shooting, including 2-4 from three-point range, along with an extremely impressive 6 steals, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. Tobi Lawal added a double-double with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 blocked shots. J.J Starling scored 12 points, Nate Kingz and Sadiq White Jr. each scored 11 points, and William Kyle III and Donnie Freeman scored 10 points in the loss.
