In Durham, the Duke Blue Devils orchestrated a 45-33 win over the NC State Wolfpack in their ACC opener. Darian Mensah played very well, completing 19-28 passes for 269 yards with 3 touchdown tosses in the win. Anderson Castle got the job done on the ground for Duke, putting up 92 yards with 3 TDs on 12 carries. CJ Bailey and the Wolfpack fought hard, with Bailey completing 29-39 passes for 2 touchdowns to Anderson Terrell in the loss. Terrell had a big game, pulling in 6 receptions for 166 yards with the two scores. Hollywood Smothers put up big numbers as well, rushing for 123 yards and a score on 17 carries while catching 5 passes for 41 yards for the Pack.
