In Raleigh, the No. 21 Virginia Cavaliers got off to a hot start and held off the NC State Wolfpack for a 76-61 road win. Sam Lewis got things started for the Cavaliers, scoring 20 of his game-high and career-high 23 points in the first half. Lewis shot 8-12 from the floor, including 5-9 from three-point range in the win. Thijs De Ridder added 14 points on 4-6 shooting to go along with 6 rebounds, while Malik Thomas scored 13 points with 7 boards, and Devin Tillis shot a perfect 4-4 on his way to 10 points for Ryan Odom's crew. Quadir Copeland led the Wolfpack with 15 points while Paul McNeil Jr. scored 13 and Ayln Breed added 12 points for Will Wade's squad.
