NC State opens ACC play with 70-57 win over Wake Forest

In Raleigh, it was the ACC opener for both teams as the NC State Wolfpack ran away from the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in the 2nd half of their 70-57 win. Three players scored in double figures for the Wolfpack, led by Quadir Copeland's 14 points along with 7 assists and 3 steals. Paul McNeil Jr. scored 13 points on 3-6 shooting, including 2-5 from three-point range, while Ven-Allen Lubin added 12 points on 6-10 shooting. Matt Able added 9 points, and Darrion Williams chipped in 8 points to help Will Wade earn his 1st ACC win. Omaha Biliew paced the Demon Deacons with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Juke Harris scored 17 and Myles Colvin added 13 points for Steve Forbes' club.
