Wake Forest dominates on the road winning at Oregon State 39-14

Wake Forest vs. Oregon State: The Demon Deacons had a dominant road victory, defeating the Beavers 39-14 in Corvallis, OR. Transfer quarterback Deshawn Purdie made his first start for Wake Forest, replacing an injured Robby Ashford, and had himself quite a game. Purdie completed 14 of 27 passes for 270 yards and 4 touchdowns. Wide receiver Chris Barnes had zero touchdown receptions coming into this game, and finished the game with three receptions for 102 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Demon Claiborne ran the ball 16 times for 144 yards and a touchdown. For Oregon State, running back Anthony Hankerson had 22 carries for 101 yards.

He is grateful for key returners like Tre'Von Spillers and Juke Harris, along with new additions like highly touted transfer Nate Calmese. Coach is pleased with his team's progress so far and hopes it will translate to a prosperous season ahead.
