UNC took a trip to Birmingham on Sunday and UNC (Belmont edition) showed up apparently as the Heels lost 63-59 to UAB. Miami came back to beat Arizona State 60-57 and Notre Dame handled Cornell easily 101-67.
The Belmont Heels were unable to shoot FTs or put together any kind of coherent halfcourt offense. It was defense and rebounding that dug the hole though, as UAB led by double-figures in the first half. Despite UNC's size, the Heels were dominated in both rebounding percentages by UAB. The good news for UNC is they travel to play Michigan State on Wednesday. Good news you say? Well, we all know the Heels have an ability to show up as UNC (Louisville edition).
