Duke and Georgia Tech picked up wins on Monday night and neither game was particularly close. I traveled over to Cameron Indoor with my wife and two kids and got to take in the game and it gave me a slightly different perspective on this Duke team.
The concern and "want to" to be a good defensive team was seen on their faces between plays. You could see the intensity and you could see the confusion on their faces when Gardner-Webb continued to get easy baskets or make open shots. There were shrugs and "I thought you had him" looks to each other. I'm not sure what type of defensive team the Blue Devils will be, but if you can't stop Gardner-Webb on December 16th, its going to be tough in March.
