Louisville is now locked into being either the No. 3, No. 4 or No. 5 seed next week in Greensboro. The 3 seed is the only one in that group which would allow U of L to miss the afternoon session on Thursday (and/or Wednesday if they were the 5 seed), so let's just go ahead and do that.

Heading into the final week of the regular season, here's what the current bracket looks like:

Notes:

--Virginia can clinch an outright ACC championship and the No. 1 seed with a win over Syracuse Monday night. Duke can still earn the top seed if it wins its final two games and the Cavaliers lose both of theirs. In this scenario, the Blue Devils would own the head-to-head tiebreaker.

--Syracuse would, again, currently be the tournament's No. 6 seed if it was postseason eligible.

--If Louisville wins its final two games, the Cards will earn the No. 3 seed regardless of anything else that happens.

--Pittsburgh, Miami, NC State and Clemson are in a four-way tie for 6th place. The Hurricanes are the only team that hasn't lost in the current 4-team "mini-conference," and thus own the 6 seed at the moment. Clemson is 2-1 and claims the No. 7 seed. NC State and Pittsburgh are both 1-2, but the Pack owns the head-to-head tiebreaker for the No. 8 seed. Miami visits Pittsburgh on Wednesday night, one day after Clemson will host NC State.

--Wake Forest is the only team already locked into a seed. The Demon Deacons will be the No. 11 seed and will play the No. 14 seed in the second game of the tournament's opening day.

--It doesn't matter because the two teams are playing one another tonight, but at the moment, Boston College and Virginia Tech are in a virtual tie for the No. 13 seed. Both teams are 2-14 with a win over Georgia Tech, and they have the same record against each other grouping of teams above them in the standings. They also have nearly identical overall records, with the Eagles entering tonight's game at 10-18, and the Hokies at 10-19. For the moment, we give BC the 13 seed because of that half-game advantage and because the non-Georgia Tech team they beat (NC State) is seeded better than the one VT beat (Pitt).
