Speaking at the 2024 ACC Basketball Tipoff press conference, Wake Forest head coach was asked about the strength of the ACC as opposed to how it seems to be undervalued nationally. Forbes defended the league beautifully, citing how well ACC teams perform in March and how the league has the most national championships as well as NBA draft picks over the past several years. Forbes talks about the talent level in the ACC being tops in the country and the young coaches who are performing so well after the retirements of Hall of Famers Mike Krzyzewski, Roy Williams and Jim Boeheim.
