North Carolina vs. Wake Forest: The Wake Forest Demon Deacons won a hard-fought game over Bill Belichick and the North Carolina Tar Heels, 28-12, and improved to 7-3 on the season. Robby Ashford played an extremely efficient game in leading the Deacs to the win, completing 15-25 passes for 191 yards through the air with a touchdown pass and a touchdown run. Ashford also ran the ball 10 times for 52 yards and a score in the win. Demond Claiborne rushed the ball 21 times for 98 yards and a score. Carlos Hernandez scored the first touchdown of the game on a fumble recovery and another in the 2nd half on a flea-flicker. Hernandez finished the game with 6 catches for 100 yards and the two scores. Special teams played a role for the Deacs, as they blocked two UNC field goal attempts in the win.
