Virginia Tech's Justin Robinson started his final game for the Hokies against Miami albeit briefly. Virginia Tech head coach Buzz Williams gave up the tip-off and Miami head coach Jim Larranaga worked in unison calling the subsequent timeout, allowing Robinson to start his final game.
