The Hokies defended their home court and got a 72-63 win over the Eagles. Virginia Tech made 11 three-pointers compared to just five for Boston College. Tobi Lawal scored 16 of his team-high 20 points in the second half. Neoklis Avdalas scored 14 of his 15 points in the first half for Virginia Tech. Boston College's Boden Kapke led all scorers with 25 points on 11-19 shooting with three made three-pointers.
