The #18 Cavaliers outscored the Cougars 12-0 in the fourth quarter to pull out a victory, 22-20. It was a safety by the Virginia defense with 2:45 left in the game that proved to be the difference. Quarterback Chandler Morris threw for 179 yards on 15-25 passing and had 15 yards rushing. Wide receiver Jahmal Edrine caught five passes for 102 yards. For Washington State, wide receiver Joshua Meredith caught seven passes for 108 yards and a touchdown.
