The Demon Deacons' rally came up short against the No. 17 Tar Heels, as North Carolina got the 87-84 victory. Wake Forest made 14 three-pointers in the game, but UNC made 20 of its 30 free throw attempts. Freshman Caleb Wilson had a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Henri Veesaar led North Carolina with 25 points to go with nine rebounds, four assists, a steal, and a block. For Wake Forest, Juke Harris and Nate Calmese each scored 28 points, combining for 12 made three-pointers.
