UNC unveils the jersey combination for Saturday’s game against Cal.

We are just about 48 hours away from kickoff on Saturday between North Carolina and California as we welcome the return of college football.

The Golden Bears will travel across country to take on the Tar Heels in the season opener as both teams enter with plenty of question marks.

While UNC will find out what they have on offense, they already know what they will wear going into the game.

Saturday marks the first time the Tar Heels will wear Jordan Brand jerseys on the football field for a regular season game. The team unveiled new jerseys back at a meet the team event in August and have worn special practice jerseys throughout the month.

On Thursday, UNC revealed the jersey combo for Saturday’s showdown with Cal and they look pretty damn good.

Check it out:

UNC is going with the Carolina Blue helmet and top while sporting the white pants.

The Jumpman logo appears on both the left side of the jersey top and pants, honoring their sponsorship with Jordan Brand.

As we did last year, we will monitor the Tar Heels record while wearing different jersey combinations throughout the year. The Tar Heels wore this jersey combination three times last season, going 1-2 including the season opener loss to Georgia.

Hopefully UNC can get off to a good start in the Jordan Brand era with a win over the Golden Bears in Chapel Hill.

Check back for more UNC football coverage as we inch closer to the season opener.
