Despite struggling on offense for most of the game, the Hurricanes were able to pull out a 79-70 victory over the Cardinal. Miami trailed by as many as nine in the second half, but a 14-2 run by the Hurricanes turned a three-point deficit into a nine-point lead with under three minutes to go. Malik Reneau was Miami's leading scorer with 20 points, to go with five rebounds and three assists. Tre Donaldson had 18 points, three rebounds, two assists, a block, and a steal. For Stanford, Ebuka Okorie had a bounce-back game with 19 points, five rebounds, four assists, and a steal.
