Freshman Mikel Brown Jr. came back from missing 2 months due to injury and looked like he didn't miss a beat. The 6'5" guard scored a team-high 20 points on an extremely efficient 7-11 shooting, including 3-6 from three-point range. Ryan Conwell added 15 points, J'Vonne Hadley scored 14, and Sananda Fru chipped in 13 points with 10 rebounds for the Cards. Jailen Bedford led the Hokies with 24 points on 8-15 shooting from the floor, including 6-8 shooting from deep.
